DeAlva is a societal impact strategist leveraging more than 20 years of experience in corporate leadership for Fortune 100s and more than 11 years of boutique agency experience as Founder of D. Wilson Agency Consulting and Development. The Agency’s goal is to help organizations and executives increase impact, performance, and profitability while always in alignment with her personal mission of helping diverse businesses, leaders, and communities thrive.
Her multi-faceted expertise includes strategy development, diversity, equity and inclusion, supplier diversity, segment marketing, and leadership development as a Certified Executive Coach and Trainer. She is an active community leader and has two gubernatorial appointments to serve on the Governor’s Economic Recovery Group and the NC Capital Facilities Finance Agency. Additionally, DeAlva served on the City of Charlotte’s COVID Recovery Task Force, Chairs the City of Charlotte Business Advisory Committee and sits on the Boards of Do Greater, Freedom Communities, as
well as the Advisory Committee for Dress for Success Charlotte. She is the President of the Winthrop University Black Alumni Council, a member of Delta Sigma Theta and of Jack and Jill of America. DeAlva was voted one of Charlotte’s Most Influential Women of 2020 and launched two leadership programs to help the advancement of women and leaders of color that are currently being used within universities and organizations nationwide. She earned a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Winthrop University, and a Harvard Management Development Certificate. Additionally, she is a Six Sigma Green Belt and University of Georgia Certified Executive Coach.
